A notE from Dr. James Van Keuren, Dean of the College of Education
The College of Education has a proud history of academic accomplishments in undergraduate and graduate education programs and continues to prepare our candidates to meet the changing demands in today’s schools.
The College values are centered around Knowledge, Accent on the Individual, Collaboration, Ethics and Refection, which are instilled in every student in the College. Thanks to our high expectations, value-added programs, foundational courses and more hands-on field experiences than any other college in Ohio, you will be more than ready to pass the state licensure exam upon graduation. In fact, 96-100 percent of Ashland University’s education graduates pass the mandated praxis exam(s) right away. Most notably, all 414 (100 percent) Ashland University program completers who took the Praxis II Test during 2007-2008 academic year passed the test needed to receive their initial teaching license.
