College of Nursing & Health Sciences
Our College of Nursing evolved from a hospital-based diploma program which was established in 1919 by the Mansfield General Hospital. Founded in 1997 under MedCentral and acquired by Ashland University in 2010, the College of Nursing is a private institution of higher education offering programs of study leading to the baccalaureate degree in nursing. Together, the rich tradition of the School of Nursing, now the College of Nursing, has served communities around the country for more than 90 years. We currently boast more than 1500 nursing alumni, who are leaders in their profession.
A Note From Faye Grund, Dean of the College of Nursing
The College of Nursing educates individuals to become professional nurses committed to nursing practice, leadership and service. Our guiding values are integrity, caring, accountability, respect and excellence.
We want to help you make the most of your time and investment in a nursing degree with small class sizes and intensive one-on-one instruction led by highly qualified faculty – in both the classroom and health care environments. When studying nursing at Ashland University, you’ll be prepared both professionally and personally to manage all the challenges you’ll face as a member of today’s most exciting healthcare profession.

- Accelerated 15-month BSN for those who already hold a bachelor's degree
- Advanced Entry admission for transfer students
