Adopt a Grandparent Team

Mission Statement: We exist to serve the community by involving AU students with senior citizens in the community.  We meet the needs of the senior citizens by visiting the nursing home and interacting with the residents.  We believe that continuing the value of life for the residents is important.  Because they enjoy our company so much, we enjoy visiting them as much as they enjoy having us.

Adopt a Grandparent believes that continuing the value of life for the residents is important.  We hang out with the senior citizens of Ashland and have an awesome time visitng the Good Shepard Nursing Home. 

Activities include: Senior Prom, Adopt-a-Sweetheart, Christmas Caroling, movies, crafts, bingo, games, and puzzles.  Each week there is also one-on-one time with your "grandparent"

Weekly time of events:  Every Tuesday and Thursday meet outside the mailroom at 6:50pm. Visits start at 7 and last till about 8 pm.
