Description:  An agency that educates and inspires young people to value free enterprise, to understand business and economics, and to be workforce ready.

 

One-time Volunteer Opportunities:  Teach a class in Ashland City schools for grades 3, 4, 5, or 6 for five weeks during spring semester

 

On-going Volunteer Opportunities:  We need 300 volunteers for classes of economic education programs. Volunteers agree to visit a school classroom 5 times for 45 minutes each for grades K-6 OR 7 times for 45 minutes each for grades 7 & 8.

The programs that will be taught are:

"Ourselves" for Kindergarten

"Our Families" for 1st grade

"Our Communities" for 2nd grade

"Our City" for 3rd grade

"Our Region" for 4th grade

"Our Nation" for 5th grade

"Our World" for 6th grade

"Personal Economics" for 7th grade

"Enterprise in Action" for 8th grade

 

Service Learning Opportunities: Not Available

 

Training/Other Requirements Needed:  All materials needed to teach as well as all training is provided by Junior Achievement
