Why Choose the Accelerated Nursing Track?
- There is no waitlist for qualified applicants!
- Our students can finish the degree track in 15 months because we focus on clinical, laboratory and observation hours.
- In 2009, 94 percent of our accelerated students passed The National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) on their first attempt. The national average was 88.4 percent.
- The U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) projects that by 2020 the country will need a total of 2.8 million nurses. In Ohio alone, the predicted shortage will be 32,000 nurses.

Prerequisite Courses
Applicants must have completed the courses listed below with a minimum letter grade of "C" from an accredited college or university:
- Developmental Psychology
- Nutrition
- Microbiology
- Organic/Inorganic/Bio Chemistry
- Human Anatomy & Physiology I & II

- Statistics

Using state-of-the-art simulation equipment in one of five laboratories, our faculty members are able to assess clinical competencies and decision-making skills as students respond to situations ranging from completing basic assessment to assisting with a breech birth delivery.
