Mission
The Ashland University Ambassador program serves as a vehicle for bringing about intercultural dialogue and interaction between the U.S. American and international students.
Ambassador Group
Approximately 20 students will be chosen each academic year for the program through an application and interview process that will occur late in the fall semester. Each ambassador will be paired with incoming international students for the semester.
Applicant Requirements
- 2.5 cumulative GPA
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly dependable and punctual
- Serve at least 2 semesters
Responsibilities/Commitment
- Help 1st or 2nd semester international students as a mentor for at least 1 1/2 hours per week
- Be a mentor and friend to your learning partners
- Participate in ambassador orientation and teambuilding retreat
- Communicate regularly with program coordinator
- Attend the President’s Reception in April
