Lake Erie Section of the Institute of Food Technologists has a few small scholarships (about $1,000 each) available for qualified students in the academic year. The recipient must be at least a junior or a graduate student majoring in Food Science, Human Nutrition, Food Microbiology, Food Chemistry, or Food Engineering with the intent to work within the food industry. Additionally an undergraduate must have completed a minimum of three quarters or two semesters in the aforementioned degrees. Applications and further guidelines are available through web searches.
