A basic, but sometimes misunderstood principle of our free enterprise economic system is that the greater the risk an entrepreneur or investor takes, the greater the financial return one should expect and strive for. That having been said, in the view of the author, those who come to enjoy success and prosperity also have a moral and ethical responsibility to help others. Because all people occasionally fall victim to their human weaknesses and frailties we need to come to appreciate that risk, return & reward go hand-in-hand with responsibility.
