Disability Services has given me the confidence that I need to succeed in college. They have always given me an extra push to take my learning to the next level. They are more than a support service -- they have become friends that listen when school isn't going well. They always show me the other side of the problem. I have always needed help with spelling, but never felt comfortable asking or admitting that I needed help. The services here have helped me realize that this is not a flaw, but a problem I need some help in overcoming. I have become better at fixing my own work and more confident in what I do. I no longer worry over each word I use in fear that it is misspelled or misused. I no longer have to use smaller words because I can't spell the large ones. I can use words that I feel best express my point of view.
