Giving our children essential tools for life.
Economics America, Cleveland Center
Welcome to the Centers for Economic Education affiliated with Ashland University. We are delighted to work with you and help students in grades K-12 build a solid foundation of economics and financial literacy. While the study of economic concepts is included in the Ohio Department of Education’s Academic Content Standards for Social Studies the reality is, that for a variety of reasons, economics gets short changed in the school classroom. The result is that students are not adequately prepared to make critical decisions with respect to their education, career, personal finance and community issues. The quality of life for that student, his or her family, area businesses and ultimately Ohio is negatively impacted in a very meaningful way. The good news is-we’re here to help!
We service teachers, students, and school districts in 23 counties: Ashland, Ashtabula, Coshocton, Crawford, Cuyahoga, Delaware, Erie, Franklin, Geauga, Holmes, Huron, Knox, Lake, Licking, Lorain, Madison, Marion, Medina, Morrow, Richland, Union, western Wayne and Wyandot. Please take a minute to “click” through the programs and resource links on the left and then give us a call. We look forward to working with you soon!
