Welcome to EconomicsAmerica, Cleveland Center of Ashland University. We are delighted to work with you and help students in grades K – 12 build a solid foundation of economics and financial literacy. While the study of economic concepts is included in the Ohio Department of Education’s Academic Content Standards for Social Studies, the reality is, that for a variety of reasons, economics gets short changed in the school classroom. The result is that students are not adequately prepared to make critical decisions with respect to their education, career, personal finance and community issues. In the area of personal finance the student’s classroom is his or her home. It’s often a breeding ground for ignorance and bad habits that are carried over from generation to generation. The quality of life for that student, his or her family, area businesses and ultimately northeast Ohio is negatively impacted in a very meaningful way. The good news is – we’re here to help!
