Sport Education
The graduate program in the Department of Sport Sciences at Ashland University provide quality educational experiences, advance knowledge, and promote leadership development. Through instruction, scholarly activity, and University and professional service, the interrelated academic areas of health, recreation, and physical education contribute to the physical, cognitive, social and affective development of individuals across the lifespan.
The department generates new knowledge, nurtures attitudes and presents information relating to human movement, pedagogical, coaching, leisure and training related activities. The program is for students interested in improving teaching and coaching careers who desire advanced training in sport coaching, sport training, sport management, sport psychology, educational administration, or outdoor education.
