About the Evening Weekend Program (EWP)
Ashland University offers adult learners Evening and Weekend Programs designed to meet the needs of non-traditional students. Currently, the Evening Weekend Program offers two degree programs:
- An Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a Business Management or Marketing Major
These two degree programs are offered on the Ashland University main campus. The bachelor degree program can be the continuation of a two-year degree or a way to complete a degree that has not been finished. The Associate of Arts Degree can be customized through the electives requirement to transition the degree to the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Admission Requirements for the Evening Weekend Program:
- The student must be admitted into the Evening and Weekend Program as a Business Management major (for a degree that can be earned in the evening and/or on weekends).
- The student must be at least 23 years of age.
- The student must be employed at least 20 hours per week.
- A student must complete a minor with the Bachelor's degree is s/he does not already have an Associate of Arts Degree.
- The student must attend college as a part-time student, taking no more than 11 semester hours per term during the regular academic year (Fall and Spring semesters), and no more than 12 total semester hours during the summer.
- The EWP student cannot receive Ashland University institutional aid. However, Federal Pell grants, Ohio Instructional grants and student loans are available to them.
- The EWP student cannot live in Ashland University residence halls.
