The Ashbrook Center will host an Oct. 8 colloquium on “Downsizing Government is Very Hard. Is It Impossible?” presented by William Voegeli.

William Voegeli is a visiting scholar at Claremont McKenna College’s Henry Salvatori Center for the Study of Individual Freedom in the Modern World, and a contributing editor for the Claremont Review of Books. His essays and reviews have appeared in City Journal, First Things, In Character, the Los Angeles Times, National Review, and The New Criterion. He posts regularly on No Left Turns, the Ashbrook Center’s blog. Voegeli is the author of Never Enough: America’s Limitless Welfare State, published by Encounter Books. After receiving a doctorate in political science from Loyola University in Chicago he was a program officer for the John M. Olin Foundation.
