Ashland University Campus Activities Board (CAB) and Tech Crew are sponsoring a concert by singer-songwriter Andy Grammer with special guest Chris Wallace on Oct. 27 at 9 p.m. in Redwood Hall. Grammer, a pop alternative artist, emerged in 2011 as one of the biggest success stories in the music business. Now, Grammer is riding the success of his hit songs "Fine by Me" and "Keep Your Head Up."
Tickets are $10 general admission, $8 for faculty, staff and alumni, and free for Ashland University students with ID. Tickets can be purchased at the Box Office (419.289.5125) or online at www.ashland.edu/tickets (additional fees apply). Ashland University students must pick up tickets in advance at the Ashland University Box Office.
Grammer has performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Live with Regis & Kelly; has shared the stage with Taylor Swift and Colbie Caillat; and was the first male pop star since 2003 (Jason Mraz) to reach the Top 5 at Adult Pop Radio on his first single, "Keep Your Head Up", which is now a certified Gold Record quickly approaching Platinum.
Singer-songwriter Chris Wallace was front man and guitarist for his previous band, "White Tie Affair. Wallace, who has been called the male Katy Perry, is now out on his own as a solo act and is opening for Grammer throughout the country.
