Faculty Recital: Scott Garlock, trombone

Scott GarlockDr. Scott Garlock, associate professor of music, will be assisted by pianists Emily Garlock and Rock Wehrmann, percussionists Mell Csicsila and Aaron Hill, bassist Tim Powell, and Thomas Reed on clarinet and saxophone. The program begins with Robert Sibbing's Homage to Anaîs Nin followed by Garlock's arrangement of Domenico Dragonetti's Andante and Rondo for Kontra Bass, then Thomas Zugger's Three Dances including movements of Jazz Waltz, Slow Dance and Irish Jig. After a brief intermission, the program continues with Illuminations for Vibraphone and Bass Trombone by Richard Coolidge; and closes with the jazz standards Burke/Van Heusen's It Could Happen to You, Miles Davis' Donna Lee and Heyman/Green's Body and Soul.  Free and Open to Public.
