Career Outlook for Theatre Majors

Many theatre majors hone their skills through work in summer stock, local theatre groups and on cruise ships or in theme parks. Membership in organized unions can lead to positions in cities like New York, Chicago or Los Angeles. Employment in the theatre and entertainment is cyclical and there are regions of the country that are more favorable for finding employment, such as major coastal cities.
