General Information

To enable our graduating students and their families to enjoy this special weekend, Ashland University offers the following services for your convenience.

Commencement Day Luncheon
A buffet will be served following the commencement ceremony in the award-winning catering facilities located in the upper level of Myers Convocation Center. The buffet is as follows:

Buffet Menu

Salads
Pasta salad
Mixed greens with Italian dressing
Fresh cut summer fruit

Entrees
Stuffed shells in a marinara sauce
Slow roasted roast beef with horseradish cream
Lemon and herb chicken

Green beans almondine

Baby Yukon gold and red potatoes with chives

Assorted breads and rolls

Sweet Endings

Fresh baked pies

Assorted cookies

Lemonade/coffee

Tickets are required for the luncheons
Each graduate and two guests will receive this special buffet at no charge. For additional guest graduation luncheon tickets, there is a $14.50 charge for adults, a $6 charge for children under 10 and no charge for children 3 and under. It is recommended that you purchase your tickets in advance by contacting 419-289-5249 by April 28, 2008.

Continential Breakfast

Each year, the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations sponsors a continental breakfast for graduates and their families on the Library Terrace the morning of commencement. This event, which will include free coffee and pastries, will be held from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday. In the event of rain, this breakfast will be held in the lobby of the Physical Education Center.

Dining Information
For all Friday night guests, the Student Dining Center will serve dinner from 4:15 to 6:30 p.m. at a special rate of $10.15 per person.

Located in the Hawkins-Conard Student Center, the Eagles Nest snack bar will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the day of graduation.

Photography Service
Chappell Graduation Images will be shooting photographs of each graduate during the commencement ceremony. Chappell will contact each graduate to let he or she know what photographs are available for purchase. If you have questions, contact Chappell Graduation Images at 800-247-3435.

Commencement Ceremony on AU Web Site
Commencement 2008 will be telecast live site at www.ashland.edu and this event will be archived on the site for graduates to view at a later time.
