Mary Rycik

Dr. Mary Rycik is an Associate Professor of Education in the Early Childhood Department. She came to Ashland University in 1995 after twenty years as a classroom teacher and reading specialist and elementary schools. She teaches literacy courses and children's literature on the undergraduate and graduate levels and supervises field experience students in Mansfield City Schools. Dr. Rycik organized a series of Guest Children's Author visits here at Ashland University and has had numerous publications and presentations on the state, national and international levels. Dr. Rycik holds a Masters degree from John Carroll University and a Ph.D. from the University of Akron.
