I have been with Ashland University for 20 years. I began as Director of Undergraduate Education in the Elyria Center. 12 years ago I moved to a full-time faculty position. I am a full-professor in the Department of Early Childhood Education. My primary responsibility is literacy courses at the Elyria Center. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Georgetown College with a major in Elementary Education. My Master of Science degree is from Ohio State University with a major in Child Development. My Ph. D. is from Miami University, Ohio, with a major in Curriculum and Instruction. I have post doctoral work in literacy from the University of Toledo.
Courses which I regularly teach are: EDEC 262, 323, EDCI 306, 312, 560, 561, 411, 663. This semester I am teaching EDEC 262 and 323. I have a half time load reduction to write the Strategic Plan for the College of Education.
