Dr. Kathleen Flanagan Hudson joined the faculty of Ashland University in 1984. Her areas of expertise include instructional methodology, professional development, and rural education. Her teaching assignment spans the undergraduate, master of education, and doctoral programs. Dr. Hudson was the recipient of the national Sears Award for Campus Leadership and Teaching Excellence in 1989. She was recognized as Outstanding Professor of the Year in 1999 by the International Student Services, Outstanding Advisor in 1993 by the Student Activities Leadership Program for her work with Kappa Delta Pi, and received the Mentor Award in 1993. Dr. Hudson has a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Dayton, a Master of Education degree from Appalachian State University, and a D. Ed. degree from The Pennsylvania State University.
