Assistant professor of French, Dr. Lisa Bansen-Harp, joined the Ashland University faculty in 2006. She combines a generalist’s training in all areas of French with a research interest in medieval French literature and culture. At Ashland University she teaches all facets of the French major, serves as French Club advisor, and runs the weekly Pause Café French conversation hour for all interested members of the Ashland University community. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in French from Indiana University, a D.E.U.G. in literature from the Université Paul Valery in Montpellier, France, and a B.A. in English and Humanities from Dana College in Blair, NE. Her interest in languages and literatures includes Germanic ones: she studied in Denmark as an undergraduate and did intensive post-bac study of German in the U.S. and Germany.
