Lindsay Taylor Brown holds a Bachelor's of Music from Miami University and a Master's of Music from Kent State University. She has taught privately for over 12 years. Lindsay has been on the faculty of Kent State University, the Fine Arts Association and currently Ashland University. She has played with various orchestra's including Miami University Symphony Orchestra, Middletown Symphony, Kent State University Orchestra, the Wooster Chamber Orchestra, and currently the Ashland Symphony and the Mansfield Symphony. Lindsay has also participated in different festivals reaching as far as the Luxembourgh International Festival Orchestra, Sound Fest, and Music at Penn's Woods. Lindsay has played in several different chamber ensembles including Trio Appassionato, Duo Fantastique, the Apostolov String Quartet, and the Kent State's Presidents Quartet. She has been many awards including the Elizabeth Pottiger award, second place at the Concerto Competition at Miami University and several orchestral awards from Kent State University. She currently has a private studio of over 20 cello students. Lindsay also works with the Mansfield Symphony Youth Orchestra students, and gives educational concerts with musicians from the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra. Lindsay believes that everyone should be given the chance to enjoy the gift of music whether they play an instrument or just simply listen.
