Ian Hoy

Ian J. Hoy is currently the bassoon instructor at Ashland University and Principal Bassoon with the Ashland Symphony Orchestra. He has previously played with the Cleveland Pops, Marion Philharmonic, Youngstown, Mansfield, Canton, Muncie, Anderson and Kokomo Symphonies. In addition to freelancing, Mr. Hoy has spent summers teaching as an instructor for the Ball State Bassoon Camp. Mr. Hoy graduated with a Masters in Music from the Cleveland Institute of Music where he was a student of John Clouser. He attended Ball State University as a student of Dr. Keith Sweger for undergraduate studies.
