Mrs. Leonard currently serves the Music Department of Ashland University as the Assistant Director of the Eagles Marching Band. She is also the principal drill-writer for the ensemble. She joined the faculty of Ashland in 2006. Angela received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Miami University and her Master’s of Music in Education from the University of Akron. A clarinet major, she has studied with Angelo Fortini and Michele Gingras. Currently, she serves as the Director of Choirs at Cloverleaf Middle School in Seville, Ohio. Angela is the founding director of the celebrated Gentlemen’s Chorus at Cloverleaf Middle School, an ensemble of over 75 middle school men. Her choirs have consistently earned superior and excellent ratings at OMEA large-group adjudicated events. In addition to a wide range of public school teaching experience ranging from elementary general music & band to middle school choir and high school marching band, she also maintains a private woodwind studio. She also remains active as a player/performer as a member of the Ashland Community Band and the Akron Symphony Chorus.
