Mary Louise Metcalf is an adjunct instructor in the music department at Ashland University, where she currently teaches Principles of Music Making. This course includes instruction in piano skills, elementary recorder skills and the basics of singing. She has previously taught piano class to both music majors and minors, and individual piano lessons to university students.
Mrs. Metcalf graduated from Ashland College with a Bachelor of Music degree, and also holds a Master of Music degree, with a concentration in organ performance, from the University of Akron. In addition to her teaching duties at the university, she has a private piano studio in her home, and serves as an organ substitute for area organists. Mary Louise resides in Ashland with her husband, Michael, son, Matthew and Golden Retriever, Buddy.
