Jane Reed, Department of Music, Adjunct Faculty, Musicianship and Strings
Adjunct Professor, Musicianship and Strings
Jane Reed has a BM in music education from the University of Iowa and an MM in violin performance from the University of Akron. In addition, she studied string pedagogy with Mimi Zweig, and has certification in Suzuki violin and Orff. She taught in the public schools for 6 years, and currently has a private studio. Jane also works with the Mansfield Symphony Youth Orchestra, and gives educational concerts for the Mansfield Symphony. Jane has been a violinist in the Akron, Canton, Youngstown, Dayton and Mansfield symphonies, and currently plays in the Ashland Symphony.
