Security Services for Students

Ashland has a full-time Office of Safety Services located in the Hawkins-Conard Student Center that is accessible to all students anytime. All residence halls are locked 24/7. Each student is required to use their student ID that also serves as an access card to get into the building. Safety Services provides escort service 24 hours a day to students who do not wish to walk alone. Students are encouraged to permanently mark/engrave all appliances or electronic devices with the student's name. Also, students should keep their rooms locked at all times and should see that residence hall entrances are properly secured behind them once they enter/exit his or her building. Please note that propping outside doors is a violation of residence life policy.
