The Ashland University Alumni Network is a project to encourage current students and alumni to help us recruit international students. You will receive $500 during the first semester and then the student you refer will receive $500. The details are:
Referring Student
1) Must be an alumnus or current student in ACCESS, an undergraduate or graduate degree program. If a student, must be attending Ashland University as a full-time student. Students who transfer before completing their program (ACCESS graduate or have earned a degree) are not eligible.
2) Your name must be noted on the student's initial application as the person that referred them.
3) You will receive the $500 six weeks after the beginning of the first semester or term that the referred student begins studies and according to the schedule below. The Summer semester is not included in the program.
4) Payments are made in the Fall semester during October, and in the Spring semester during February.
5) If you are a current student, the $500 will first be applied to your student account. If you have graduated, it will be applied first to any outstanding balance you may have on your student account. and then a check for the remainder will be mailed to you.
Referred Student
1) Must be planning to study at Ashland University as a full-time, degree-seeking student (ACCESS, Undergraduate or Graduate studies) on an F-1 or J-1 visa.
2) Referred students can include family members or students who are already receiving a scholarship from Ashland University or another outside agency.
3) The referred student will receive the $500 six weeks after the beginning of the second semester or term that the referred student begins studies and according to the schedule below. The Summer semester is not included in the program.
4) Payments are made in the Fall semester during October, and in the Spring semester during February.
