| Ashland University is pleased to announce special incentive scholarships for students from Latin American or Caribbean countries who enroll in bachelor degree and/or ESL programs.
Undergraduate (Bachelor Degree) Level – In addition to our regular international student scholarships, which award $2,000-$8,000/year, the University is making available a limited number of special Incentive Scholarships ranging from $1,000-$5,000/year. These scholarships will be awarded beginning in October, 2006. These special additional scholarships are available to students who are planning to study in our undergraduate programs, that is, the bachelor degree programs. These scholarships will be awarded at the time of application and acceptance. Factors which will influence the amount of the additional scholarship include academic merit, potential for leadership, and record of service to community.
ESL – For students from Latin America who begin their study in our Center for English Studies (ACCESS) program, there is a special reduction in tuition of 40%. This reduction continues as long as the student is enrolled in that program.
While Ashland University enrolls a small number of students from Latin America or the Caribbean, it has made the decision to provide incentives for more students to enroll. This is part of the university’s plan to diversify its international population. Latin America is an area which the university has targeted for these special financial aid awards.
