What if I have a sports related injury or illness?

Sports Medicine visits are available free of charge to all full-time students by appointment only.

Student Athletes - Your Athletic Trainer will provide initial evaluation and treatment for student athletes who experience an injury or sports related medical condition. The athlete may be referred to Student Health by the Trainer for additional evaluation and treatment.

Casual athletes - Call Student Health at 419.289.5200 to schedule an appointment.

Sports medicine visits are scheduled with one of the following providers:

Amity Arnold, PA-C  - Amity has a background in Athletic Training and extensive experience in sports medicine.

Christopher Boyd, MD - Dr. Boyd is the Medical Director of Student Health and also serves as the Team Physician for Ashland University Athletics. He is a Family Medicine physician with a strong background in sports medicine.
