Private Education Loans
Private Education Loans for Graduate Licensure Students
A number of private
education lenders provide loans to assist students who are not eligible for
the Federal Stafford Loan Program, including:
- Chase Select Loan (www.ChaseSelectLoans.com)
- Citibank CitiAssist Loan (http://studentloan.citibank.com)
- PNC Bank PNC Continuing Education Loan
- US Bank US Bank No Fee Education Loan
The Financial Aid Office encourages students to review loan terms and fine print carefully when applying for private education loans as fees and interest rates vary among lenders and can increase the total cost of your loan substantially.
Students interested in a private education loan must complete the
AU Loan
Application for Graduate Students and
submit it to Ashland University in order that AU can certify the
private loan application when requested by the lender.
Note: AU will not certify a private education loan unless the student has submitted an AU Loan Application. After completing the AU Loan Application, the student should then apply directly to the lender of their choice for the desired loan amount.
Ashland
University will certify electronically that the student is eligible
to receive the loan based on the information provided on the AU
Loan Application. The lender will notify the student directly of
loan approval. Funds will be delivered by the lender to AU which,
in turn, delivers the funds to the student.
