Teaching with Glogster is designed to introduce educators to the collaborative Web 2.0 tool of Glogster EDU. Participants will learn how to make glogs, or interactive online posters, that can be used to enhance student learning by increasing student involvement and motivation. Participants learn about the various uses for glogs as well as how to develop and use glogs as teacher productivity tools. The final project gives them the opportunity to create three glogs: a simple glog; a sample student project or a glog to use in a student “learning center”; and a glog to be used as a graphic e-newsletter. Participants share ideas through discussion forums and then share their final projects with one another on a wiki for this class so they can learn from the creativity and efforts of their peers. Participants of all skill levels are encouraged to enroll, as the class is self-paced and those with more experience will not be “held back” by those who may need assistance.
This is an open class with ongoing registration. It is a 5 week self-paced class with easy access to the instructor via email who is more than happy to answer any questions. As soon as you register, Dr. Lambert will get you started!
