Web Resources for Teachers is designed to introduce educators to the vast Web resources that can be used to enhance student learning by increasing student involvement and motivation. Participants learn about a wide array of resources available on the Web, from information resources to lesson development tools that enhance learning. Overviews are provided and participants are given opportunities to explore a variety of resources, with emphasis on what is of particular relevance to their own educational role, interests and needs. Participants will review various tools and share those reviews in class forums, and complete final project in which they develop a complete lesson, quiz/test, rubric, and review game using Web 2.0 resources. Participants share their final projects with one another on a wiki for this class so they can learn from the creativity and efforts of their peers. Participants of all skill levels are encouraged to enroll, as the class is self-paced and those with more experience will not be “held back” by those who may need assistance.
This is an open class with ongoing registration. It is a 5 week self-paced class with easy access to the instructor via email who is more than happy to answer any questions. As soon as you register, Dr. Lambert will get you started!
