GRIEVNG CHILD/ TEEN

Topic: Behavior Management/Social Skills
Instructor: Mary Griffiths
Method: Face to Face (WRK)
Sponsor: AU Columbus Center
Location: CPD

Course Description:

Adults just have the natural tendency to want to make a child feel better; drying their tears when they fall, soothing them when they hurt.  It is never that easy when it comes to helping a child who is grieving, and harder to know what to say, to do, and to expect.  This class is designed for educators who want to be a very real support for the grieving process in children; a process that can't be hurried and shouldn't be!  Providing opportunities for collaboration and sharing through; handouts, lectures  group discussions, DVD(s) and studying actual case studies, teachers will build knowledge and awareness regarding grief in children. For more information please contact Mary Lou Griffiths at lovingkindness3@msn.com.
