Course Description:

This introductory course focuses on basic skills and uses of Google Apps for Education in a school setting.

The following are objectives for the course:

  1. Navigate the Google Apps for Education site, components, and tools with efficiency, fluency, and speed
  2. Use Aspen and Contact Groups in Google Apps for Education in tandem; update contacts and sharing rights for students and/or other DoDEA professionals as enrollment and participation changes
  3. Demonstrate proficiency in using Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Presentations, and Forms
  4. Demonstrate proficiency in using aspects of Google Drive to include sharing and collaboration with students and/or other professionals in DoDEA
  5. Develop a file management system for messages and Drive contents
  6. Develop a subscription list in Google Apps for Education's YouTube component that supports standards and curriculum and/or professional programs
