LFWAYS EARLY CHLDHOOD 1
LifeWays trains teachers and parents to create center-based and in-home child care. Mixed-age, family-style groupings and the same care providers year after year support the relationship-based care that children need. Life is the curriculum for young children, including practical life skills demonstrated in Domestic Activity, Nurturing Care, Creative Exploration and Social Ability. Participants in this class learn the tools needed to create a home-like setting and discover how to become models of lifelong learning to provide what the children need in their early years of growth.
Based on the profound research of Dr. Rudolf Steiner, founder of Waldorf education, and other leading developmental experts, LifeWays courses offer the opportunity to enter deeply into the Living Arts. LifeWays is in alignment with the Alliance for Childhood and the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America, and is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the National Association for Family Child Care.
Session 1. focuses on basic LifeWays concepts and practices and introduces the four curriculum areas of Domestic Activity, Nurturing Care, Creative Exploration and Social Ability. For more information please contact Meg Freeling at email@example.com.
