This is a graduate level class. However, undergraduate credit is available upon request. There are no changes in content, price, or expectations.
This module closely represents two social studies disciplines from Ohio's early learning social studies content standards; Civics and Government. The National Council of Social Studies (NCSS) recognizes the importance of these content standards by defining the primary purpose of social studies..."to help young people develop the ability to make informed and reasoned decisions for the public good as citizens of a culturally diverse, democratic society in an interdependent world" (NCSS Task Force on Standards for Teaching and Learning in the Social Studies, 1993, p.213).
If you choose to register for Ashland University credit, be sure to include the dates / site of your workshop in the "Addition Comments" section of the online form.
