Course Description:

Implementing Suicide Prevention Programs in schools is a training opportunity provided by the Lorain County Board of Mental Health, in conjunction with the Lorain County Schools Crisis Counseling team. The workshop provides training for middle school and high school teachers to become implementers of the "Red Flags" middle school suicide and "Response" high school suicide prevention programs. 

Training/instruction in the appropriate models, as well as teacher/mental health clinician collaboration as a team approach, are focal points for the training. Teachers interested in participating in the training can develop their own school district team, or be a part of a different school district/agency.
