Participants will explore the basic ways in which 21st century technology can be incorporated into any language arts lessons. Participants will specifically explore the many features and uses of the notebook software (Smart Board) and how its features/tools could be easily implemented into a lesson in order to boost student learning and participation. Participants will learn strategies that will enable them to navigate quickly through software and online resources. Also, participants will explore Moodle and how to effectively manage this online communication tool. Participants are encouraged to bring a flash drive to save their work, headphones, and lesson materials to use with the new technology.
