Jim Quatman has been the Director of Professional Development Services at the Southwest Center for Ashland University since January of 2008. He accepted this position after retiring from public education for 30 years. In Jim's final public school position he served for eight and a half years as Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources with the Milford Schools. Prior to that assignment he was the principal at Milford High School for five years. Before coming to Milford Jim spend five years serving the Forest Hills Local School District in the capacity of Assistant Principal. During this time I have been given extensive administrative responsibilities as a member of the Milford Exempted Village School District administrative team for the past ten years, Anderson High School administrative team for two years and Turpin High School for three years. Before becoming an administrator, Jim spent 11 years as a high school math teacher at Milan Edison, Crestline, Mapleton, Ashland City, Twin Valley South, and Troy City Schools. Jim also serves as a member of the Learning Forward Ohio State Board, is the Chair Advanced Ed./NCA CASI State Advisory Board, the Credential Review Board for the Ohio Department of Education, is Secretary for the American Society of Ephesus Board and Athenaeum Bishop Fenwick Society Board.
Jim has been married for close to 36 years to his wife Terri. They are the proud parents of three daughters; Dr. Catherine Quatman-Yates, Dr. Carmen Quatman, and Lauren. Jim and Terri also have one grandson Liam Andrew Yates.
