You can add tremendous value to your corporate training by qualifying it for college credit through the Ashland University Professional Development Network (AUPDN).

Ashland University Professional Development Network values the learning that adults gain outside the traditional classroom and is offering college credit for certain kinds of corporate training. Now you can:

Corporations spend more time, money, and effort teaching adults than all the colleges in America combined.  Many large corporations operate their own corporate universities, which specialize in teaching employees everything from project management to programming languages.

Ashland University Professional Development Network is dedicated to the principle that organizations need to standardize best practices in order to maintain or gain a strong presence in their industry.  We believe that there is a need to bridge the gap between "just-in-time" skills training and "life-long learning" for continuous professional improvement.  While "just-in-time training" meets immediate productivity needs, employees also need more than job skills to serve in a rapidly changing and competitive environment.  In order to ensure that workers have the knowledge, skills, and intellectual flexibility to join the challenge, training dollars need to move workforce development beyond training.  It just makes economic sense.

Ashland University is a prestigious, private institution established in 1878 that offers both undergraduate and graduate degree programs including initial and advanced preparation programs in selected professional areas.  As a result, we provide a blend of proven training practices along with innovative instructional delivery systems. You can add tremendous value to your corporate training by qualifying it for college credit or continuing education units (CEUs) through Ashland University.  Your company will be able to offer your employees credits toward their college degrees, getting them ahead faster, at a lower cost.

The advantages of receiving professional training as college credit from an Accredited College

A major benefit of receiving credit from an accredited college is that the student immediately has a recognized transcript will full academic credit.  Unlike other sources of four year university credit which simply certify the experience without extending actual credit, Ashland University issues credit and a transcript.  Attending an accredited college provides credits that are normally accepted in transfer by other accredited colleges.  Credits and degrees earned at non-accredited universities are not commonly accepted in transfer by accredited institutions.

Ashland University Professional Development Network recognizes the value of learning that adults gain outside the traditional classroom.  One way we acknowledge this is by offering college and continuing education credit for certain kinds of corporate training.  Ashland and its programs are accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs, National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, National Association of Schools of Music, National League for Nursing, Council on Social Work Education, and American Chemical Society.

We have already approved many of industry platform courses from companies such as Microsoft, Novell and Cisco; along with vendor neutral standards for business and process skills from Project Management Institute's (PMI) "Project Management Body of Knowledge" (PMBOK) and the International Institute of Business Analysis' (IIBA) Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK). In addition, we also recognize the importance of enterprise level training solutions designed to turn human potential into exceptional performance.  Ashland University Professional Development Network is committed to providing targeted training that will be effective at all levels of the organization.
