Requirements for all M.Ed. applicants

- Cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 2.75 or above
- Official bachelor’s degree transcript from accredited college or university
- Copy of State of Ohio teaching license or its equivalent
- Applicants who are licensed and currently teaching, submit one letter of recommendation from your principal or superintendent
- Applicants who are not certified or licensed and/or not currently teaching, submit two letters of recommendation
- Good Moral Character Form
- Memorandum of Understanding
- Personal interview with a M.Ed. program director
Second Ashland Master’s Degree Admission
- Copy of transcript from Ashland University showing first master’s degree
Consideration for Conditional Admission Requirements
- Cumulative grade point average of 2.25 to 2.75
- Scores on aptitude tests, i.e. Graduate Record and/or Miller Analogies
- Two letters of recommendation
- Prospective students who are certified or licensed and currently teaching are required to submit one letter of recommendation from their principal or superintendent.
- Prospective students who are not certified or licensed and/or not currently teaching are required to submit two letters of recommendation.
