Admission Instructions for Master of Education

Requirements for all M.Ed. applicants

• Application
• Application Fee
• Cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 2.75 or above
• Official bachelor’s degree transcript from accredited college or university
• Copy of State of Ohio teaching license or its equivalent
• Applicants who are licensed and currently teaching, submit one letter of recommendation from your principal or superintendent
• Applicants who are not certified or licensed and/or not currently teaching, submit two letters of recommendation
• Good Moral Character Form
• Memorandum of Understanding
• Personal interview with a M.Ed. program director

Second Ashland Master’s Degree Admission

• Copy of transcript from Ashland University showing first master’s degree

Consideration for Conditional Admission Requirements

• Cumulative grade point average of 2.25 to 2.75
• Scores on aptitude tests, i.e. Graduate Record and/or Miller Analogies
• Two letters of recommendation
• Prospective students who are certified or licensed and currently teaching are required to submit one letter of recommendation from their principal or superintendent.
• Prospective students who are not certified or licensed and/or not currently teaching are required to submit two letters of recommendation.
