The mission of the Ashland University School of Business Administration and Economics is to prepare both traditional and non-traditional students to become educated business professionals. The School is committed to creating an understanding of the importance of productivity, quality, and the human dimension of business operation.
Faculty complement their primary responsibility of quality teaching with pursuit of scholarly activities as well as professional and community service. This includes interfacing of faculty with the business community, through research, consulting, dialogues, internships, and student- related projects. This permits the integration of business theory with practical applications.
Program Objectives
- To provide for the needs of future and practicing executives by offering an education integrating relevant theory with practical application.
- To offer a curriculum that provides the necessary tools for decision making and problem solving while exposing the student to the functional areas of business that are appropriate in today's business environment.
- To meet the needs of diverse groups of students by integrating international students into our American business culture in order to develop a global awareness.
- To provide the fundamental business courses and skills for the non-business degree holders and for international students by offering a foundation program to prepare them for graduate studies in business.
