What CAB has done:
- Received the Excellence in Programming Award from the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) a record eight times.
- Hosted popular bands including Jack’s Mannequin, MTV’s Campus Invasion Tour, Bowling for Soup and Switchfoot, among others.
- Produced on-campus shows for comedians such as the Sklar Brothers and illusionist Wayne Hoffman.
- Fought boredom and amused students with foam dance parties, grocery bingo events, acoustic cafes, free bowling nights, hypnotists, spoken word artists, outdoor activities and more!

- Greek Life has been a large part of campus life for more than 40 years.
- The all-Greek grade point average is consistently above the all-campus average.

The Rec Center is the social hub of the University, open to everyone in our Ashland University community including all students, faculty and staff and their families and alumni – there’s something for everyone. All it takes is contacting the Rec Center to get in on the fun!
With Rec Services, you can:
- Become certified in First Aid/CPR/AED or receive your Lifeguard Certification at a minimal cost.
- Work on campus in the Recreation Center or as an intramural official. Recreational Services is the largest student employer on campus.
- Get active outside – Play sand volleyball or a pickup game of basketball on the outdoor court.
- Attend a group exercise class – Around 25 Group Exercise classes are offered a week. Some classes include indoor cycling, yoga, Pilates, turbo kick and water aerobics.
- Relax – Take your mind off of studying and relax with a massage from our certified massage therapist.
- Get motivated – Gain instruction for your workout routine by working with one of our certified personal trainers.
- Get in touch with the outdoors – Go hiking, white water rafting, paintballing or skiing on one of our Outdoor Adventure trips.
- Stay competitive through one of our 18 different sport clubs. Clubs are a smaller time commitment than NCAA athletics, but still provide intense intercollegiate competition. More than 225 students participate in sport clubs each year.
- Play intramurals – Eighteen different intramurals are offered each year as well as 12 special events. Come be a part of what one-third of the student body is involved in!
- Visit the Rec Center – Run a treadmill, lift weights, play pickup basketball, climb the rock wall, play a course on the golf simulator, swim laps in the pool, run laps on the track, play racquetball or just relax in the whirlpool or sauna. Whatever you choose to do, you are sure to get on the right track towards a healthy lifestyle.

The Center of Religious Life offers several opportunities for students to grow in their faith. Primary group worship opportunities include:
- The Well — Non-denominational worship service featuring contemporary Christian music with an all student praise band.
- Newman Catholic Campus Ministry — Worship gatherings presented with a more traditional Catholic orientation.
- FCA — Fellowship of Christian Athletes presents Christ-focused worship gatherings open to athletes and other students who wish to participate.

In addition, the Center for Religious Life offers The Call, a unique program devoted to helping those drawn to full-time Christian service understand ministry and gain practical ministry experience.
Opportunities to grow in the six core Christian values of worship, scripture, prayer, discipleship, missions and community ministry are available through Alabaster, Logos, Sparks, Grow, Isaiah Project and HOPE.
