Recognition and Accreditation

The U.S. News & World Report has ranked Ashland University in the top 200 in the National Universities category in its recently released 2013 rankings. This is the second consecutive year that Ashland University has been listed in the National Universities classification, which is restricted to universities offering doctoral programs and involved in research.

U.S. News & World Report has placed Ashland University in the top tier of Midwest level institutions in the 2011 edition of U.S. News & World Reports' America's Best Colleges survey.

Ashland University's Dining Services captured first place among medium-sized schools 10 times in the standard menu competition of the National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS).

Ashland University's Campus Activities Board has been recognized by the National Association for College Activities for providing the No. 1 student activities programming in the nation.

Ashland University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association (800.621.7440/312.263.0456 - www.ncahigherlearningcommission.org). Ashland University is authorized by the Ohio Board of Regents to grant bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. Individual programs are accredited by theĀ  Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, the National Association of Schools of Music, the American Association of Theological Schools, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, the Council on Social Work Education, the American Chemical Society, the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration and the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
