Responsible for overall administration and operation of a residence hall ranging from approximately 150-250 students. Duties also include selection, training, supervision and evaluation of RA staff of 4-6 members. The Residence Director /Area Coordinator will work to create an environment conducive to the academic mission of Ashland University. In addition to his/her Residence Life responsibilities, each staff will hold a collateral position with an existing department of Student Affairs at Ashland University for 10 hours a week. Collaterals may be offered in Career Services, Multicultural Student Services, Recreational Services and Residence Life. Additional experiential opportunities are available in a variety of student affairs departments.
Residence Director-Kilhefner Hall
Area Coordinator- 1 staff member who supervises both Myers and Jacobs Halls
Special Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. The Residence Director is a 9 1/2 month live-in position. Prior undergraduate Residence Life or other experience that demonstrates leadership and active involvement in student life. Skills include the following:
