The Ashland University Center for English Studies (ACCESS) was established in 1974 to provide international students opportunities to improve communication skills in American English and acquaint them with American customs and culture. The Center offers a program of classes in reading, writing, speaking and listening which is designed to prepare students to participate effectively in university classes and daily American life.
1. Teach 20 hours of per week, per term, as assigned by ACCESS Director
2. Regularly participate in ACCESS Program activities
3. Maintain regular office hours and work with students individually, as required
4. Work with the Activities Coordinator in planning and executing weekly field trips and activities
5. Prepare midterm and end-of-term evaluations for each student taught.
6. Actively participate and contribute in staff meetings, workdays, and professional development sessions as scheduled.

Special Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Master's degree (or imminent completion of one) in TESOL or Applied Linguistics.
2. Experience working in a college level IEP domestic or abroad; or extensive practicum.
3. Demonstrated teaching ability.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience living and/or teaching abroad is desired.
2. Willingness to perform all administrative duties in a timely and thorough manner.
3. Willingness to productively engage with colleagues in maintaining a positive, self-reflective, learning atmosphere.
