
The Assistant Director of Admission- Transfer Admission serves as a mid-level leader in the admission office by serving as the primary recruiter for transfer students.
Essential Position Duties and Responsibilities
1) Develop a recruiting strategy for transfer student enrollment. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Supervision of the Admission Representative, College ofNursing
• Provide unofficial evaluation of transfer credit
• Provide academic counseling for prospective transfer students.
• Act as academic advisor for new transfer students during their first term on campus
• Schedule new transfer students for their first semester on campus.
• Development of framework for new articulation agreements with two-year institutions.
• Work closely with the University Registrar to maintain current knowledge of program changes and additions.
• Coordination of transfer recruitment in Ohio and out-of-state.
• Provide innovative ways of communicating with counselors at two year schools through direct mail, campus visits or technology.
· • Conduct on campus admission interviews with prospective students and parents.
• Provide information to students and parents about the requirements and procedures for admission.
• Review of completed transfer applications and make appropriate admission decisions
and scholarship awards.
• Maintain knowledge of current financial aid policies and procedures for Federal, State and Institutional aid including and understanding of the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Education:
Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree Preferred
Experience:
Four years previous experience.
Skills:
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends or as needed. ·
• Possess a sense ofhumor.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
• Able to communicate with a wide variety of individuals both on and off campus.
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Must have a valid driver's license.
