Ashland University Library now offers the ability to Instant Message (IM) the Library! You can "Ask Us" basic research questions from any computer with Internet access. This pilot service is available during regular reference desk hours.
Monday through Thursday: 8:00 am to 10:00 pm Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Sunday: Library Closed

Ask Us! is intended primarily for students, faculty and staff at Ashland University. If you are not affiliated with Ashland University, we will reply to your inquiry only as it relates to general questions about the university or the library.
KnowItNow: KnowItNow is a service of the State Library of Ohio and local public libraries. KnowItNow is funded through a federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) grant awarded by the State Library of Ohio
"KnowItNow Academic uses the KnowItNow software and interface, but questions to this queue are answered by academic librarians, rather than the public librarians who staff the 24x7 KnowItNow service. KnowItNow Academic is staffed Mondays through Thursdays from 1-9 p.m., and Fridays, from 1-6 p.m. The pilot will run through January and February and then the service will be evaluated. Only one librarian will staff KnowItNow Academic at a time.
